Obsidian Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon

Obsidian Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019.

Lauren says, “Deep plum red. Strong aroma of baking spices and cherry. Medium to full bodied. Flavor of red licorice, cinnamon and cherry pie. A delightful California cab. Classic in every way. Good tannins and a long finish. Had a bad bottle prior so this seems like a 9/10. Realistically, probably an 8.5. A cab lovers dream though.”

Zach says, “Rich ruby red in the glass. Nose of candied raspberry, fresh blueberry, leather, and dust. Full bodied. Super balanced. Quite tannic, but it all works. Finish is long and fresh blueberry and raspberry. Maybe a little dusty and vanilla on the subtle finish. As I wrote, the finish lingers as tempestuous winds of the incoming hurricane twist our trees. 9.2/10.”
