Raymond Merlot, 2017.
Purchased at Total Wine.

Lauren says, “Dark burgundy color. Aroma of fresh cedar, dried tea leaves, mocha, and ethanol. Full bodied. Deep tannins. Leaves my mouth tingling. Flavor of sour cherries and chocolate. Tannins and alcohol dominate. I like it more than I thought. 7/10.”

Zach says, “The wine is rusty red in the glass. This wine is truly the stereotypical Merlot. Very fruity on the nose. Notes of black cherry, blueberry, vanilla, and ash. At first, the wine feels thin and watery with very little flavor; however, high acidity and rich tannin comes into focus. Medium to heavy mouthfeel. Has that characteristic red pepper finish. Very good, but I don’t think I love merlot. 7.5/10”
